Schaduf’s Collaboration at Cairo Design Week 2025: Elevating Nature Through The Barefoot Journey
Cairo Design Week 2025 has concluded, and Schaduf was honored to collaborate with
Essores and DwellWell on The Barefoot Journey —
a sensory-driven installation at The Cayan Court, Heliopolis.
The installation invited visitors to slow down, remove the noise of the city, and reconnect with the grounding presence of natural textures and elements. Designed as an immersive pathway, it encouraged guests to experience nature not as a backdrop, but as a living, emotional, and restorative force.
Schaduf’s contribution focused on bringing a biophilic perspective to the activation — emphasizing how sensory and nature-integrated experiences can positively influence mood, wellbeing, and human connection. The collaboration demonstrated how thoughtful partnerships between design, greenery, and sensory innovation can reshape everyday environments and elevate the way people feel in a space.
Throughout the week, The Barefoot Journey resonated strongly with designers, creatives, families, and visitors from around the region. The conversations sparked within the space reflected a growing appreciation for nature-driven design and its role in shaping healthier, more meaningful urban living.
Cairo Design Week remains a platform for ideas that move the industry forward, and Schaduf is proud to have contributed to a collaborative experience that celebrated creativity, wellbeing, and the power of nature in design.
